Motorcycle enthusiasts
Motorcyclists are very welcome. Our hotel is the ideal starting point for motorcycle tours all around the Bavarian Forest and into the Czech Republic. There are plenty of promising routes, and we recommend the Calimoto app for planning them. Travelling as a larger group? Then get in touch and we will check what we have free, both on the campsite and in our rooms.
Skiing
In winter, ski slopes for beginners and more advanced skiers are just a few kilometres away. For cross-country skiers there is a wide choice of very well-groomed trails.
Hiking
Dear hikers, our hotel on the edge of the forest gives you direct access to beautiful hiking routes. Destinations you can walk to straight from the hotel include the Kerschbaumriegel, Dachsriegel, Burgstall summit, Geißriegel and the Leuchtturm der Menschlichkeit (Lighthouse of Humanity). By car or public transport you can also reach many more rewarding hiking destinations within a few kilometres.

An almost endless range of things to do in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park means you will never be bored in your free time. Variety and excitement for the whole family – whether children, parents or grandparents – matter a great deal here in our district, and there is sure to be something for everyone.
With many of the activities, unspoilt nature and plenty of fresh air are guaranteed. And if the weather doesn't play along the way we would like, there are numerous indoor options that make the wait for the next rays of sunshine seem very short. From the adventure pool to the Dragon's Cave, from a soothing wellness massage to a visit to the casino – anything is possible.
Free use of public transport
We issue a guest card that lets you use public transport free of charge as a holiday guest. With the GUTi logo, your guest card becomes your personal ticket for buses and trains throughout the Bayerwaldticket fare area. You can travel comfortably and free of charge to hikes that start and finish in different places. You also save on fuel and parking charges and are driven safely to your destination.
